SUSTAINABILITY. The EverHome Markham Community utilizes geothermal energy from a bore-field as its primary source. The Central Courtyard connects residents with nature and improves air quality.

Occupancy sensors are installed in common areas to reduce hydro consumption. Electric car charging stations are available on each parking level. Ensuite light fixtures are energy-saving and long-lasting.

Low VOC paints and finishes are used. Water-efficient fixtures and energy-saving appliances help reduce consumption. The aluminum window frames are architecturally designed with double pane sealed glazing.

The building has a recycling system in place. Energy Recovery Ventilation helps to reduce the "heat island effect". Green roofs are installed on the buildings to further reduce this effect.
